The need to provide financial support to a child, which caters for any expense the child may incur is spelt out in the revised Kansas code for care of children. To determine or rule the case, the judges use the guidelines in the code to evaluate the financial status of both parents. Other considerations to calculate how much one should contribute include the health insurance of the child and child care expenses.
